Nursery website design that fills rooms, not just a homepage
Websites, local search and AI visibility for day nurseries, pre-schools and early years settings across London and Essex. Built to the 2026 rules on fees and Ofsted report cards, connected to Famly or Ovivio. From £1,495, live from two weeks.
- Parents search "nursery near me" 165,000 times a month in the UK. Your page should be the answer.
- Fees page built to the DfE charging rules from April 2026
- Enquiries land in your inbox, or in Famly, Ovivio or whatever software you use
We build websites for day nurseries, pre-schools and early years settings in London and Essex: a fees and funded hours page written to the April 2026 DfE rules, an Ofsted report card section, your enquiry form connected to Famly, Ovivio or straight to your inbox, and a page for every neighbourhood you draw from. Fixed prices from £1,495, live in two to six weeks, quoted within one working day with no call unless you want one.
Search figures: Google Ads data via DataforSEO, United Kingdom, September 2026. Occupancy: DfE Childcare and Early Years Provider Survey 2025, published December 2025.
Parents are already looking. Most nursery websites do not answer them.
A parent searching at 10pm wants four things: where you are, what you charge, whether you take the funded hours, and whether there is a place. If the answer needs a phone call in office hours, they move to the next name.
Fees and funded hours, published properly
From April 2026 the DfE requires charges to be clear and easy to find, extras to be voluntary, and no deposit as a condition of a funded place. We build the fees page to that guidance, with the DfE chargeable extras template built in.
Ofsted report cards, not a badge that expires
Single-word grades started going in November 2025. A site built around an "Outstanding" logo is built around something that vanishes at your next inspection. We show the report card properly and link to the QR badge.
Enquiries land in your software
Famly, Ovivio, eyworks and Nursery in a Box all have enquiry and waiting list forms. We embed yours so every lead is tracked from first click to first day, instead of sitting in an inbox.
A page for every district you draw from
Parents search by neighbourhood. A setting in Chelmsford competes in Great Baddow, Springfield and Writtle as much as in the city centre. Each gets a page that says something specific.
Photos of children, handled lawfully
Every image of a child on the site has recorded parental permission and a withdrawal route, per ICO guidance. We set the consent process up with you before a single photo goes live.
Written to be cited by AI
When a parent asks an assistant for nurseries near a station, it reads pages that answer plainly. Every page is written answer-first with the structured data those systems rely on.
How it works
Four steps, all in writing. No discovery call, no meeting, unless you want one.
1. Tell us about your nursery
Four details in the form. Then a short brief: rooms, ages, fees, funded hours, any software you use, the towns you draw from.
2. You get your quote
A fixed price, a page plan and a live date, within one working day. No call, unless you want one.
3. Design and build
You see a design first. Two rounds of revisions. Then we build every page and connect your enquiry form to your software.
4. Live in 2 to 6 weeks
We handle domain and hosting. You get a written handover and a care plan from £50 a month.
Packages from £1,495, live from two weeks
Every price is published. Care plan £50 a month is additional to the build. 50% to start, 50% on completion.

Firefly Nursery
The team designed and developed our new website and continue to work with us on an ongoing basis through their SEO and AI Visibility package. They’re helping us strengthen our presence on Google and across emerging AI search platforms, so more local parents can discover our nursery online. It’s great having one team looking after both our website and our long-term digital visibility.
Oak Tree Nursery
We wanted a website that really captured the warmth and personality of our nursery and gave parents confidence in choosing us. The finished website does exactly that. It showcases our setting beautifully, explains what we offer clearly and makes it incredibly easy for prospective parents to arrange a visit or get in touch.
More enquiries from local parents
Our new website has made a huge difference to our online presence. Parents can quickly understand what makes our nursery special and easily take the next step to arrange a visit. We’ve had fantastic feedback on how professional, welcoming and easy to use the website is.

Us, a website builder, or a generalist agency
Three honest routes to a nursery website. Which one is right depends on how much of it you want to do yourself.
| Template builder | Generalist web agency | Full Rooms Websites | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Typical cost | £15 to £40 a month, plus your evenings | £2,500 to £10,000 | £1,495 to £5,995 fixed, plus £50 a month care plan |
| Fees page to the April 2026 DfE rules | You write it | Only if you brief it | Built in, with the DfE chargeable extras template underneath |
| Ofsted report cards, from November 2025 | Not handled | Usually a single-word grade badge | Report card layout, QR badge to your report |
| Famly, Ovivio and eyworks enquiry forms | Manual embed | Quoted as an extra | Included, or a plain form into your inbox if you use no software |
| A page for each district you draw from | Rare | Charged per page | In every package above Starter |
| Who owns the files | The platform | Varies, ask before you sign | You, on completion, as plain HTML |
| Time to live | A weekend to a month of your evenings | 6 to 12 weeks is typical | 2 to 6 weeks |

Questions nursery owners ask
How much does a nursery website cost?
From £1,495 for a single setting, £2,995 for an established nursery with room and district pages, and £5,995 for a group. The care plan is £50 a month on top. Every price is on the pricing page.
Do we need a call?
No. You fill in four details, we send a quote and a page plan, you review by email. If you would rather talk, say so and we will call, but nothing depends on it.
Can the enquiry form go into Famly or Ovivio?
Yes. Both publish embeddable enquiry forms, as do eyworks and Nursery in a Box. We embed yours so enquiries are tracked in the system you already use, and we set up a plain fallback form for anything else.
What about our Ofsted grade?
Ofsted moved to report cards from 10 November 2025. If your last inspection gave a single-word grade you may still use the official logo until your next inspection, and we build the section so it can be swapped for the report card without a redesign.
Is SEO included?
The build includes the on-page foundations: page structure, titles, structured data. Ongoing search and AI visibility work is a separate optional retainer at £497 or £1,997 a month, with no contract. Plenty of settings take the website alone.
How much does a nursery website cost?
A nursery website in the UK costs between about £1,000 and £6,000 as a one-off build, plus £20 to £60 a month to keep it running. Ours are £1,495 for a single setting of up to eight pages, £2,995 for an established nursery and £5,995 for a group of two or more, with a £50 a month care plan on top. Monthly-only offers from £15 to £40 exist, but you usually rent the site rather than own it.
How long does it take to build a nursery website?
Two to five weeks for a single setting, three to five for an established nursery, four to six for a group. The clock starts when your brief is complete. The slow part is almost always waiting for fees, room details and staff names, so the faster you send those the sooner it is live.
Will our website meet Ofsted and EYFS requirements?
Ofsted does not inspect or approve websites, so no website is "Ofsted compliant" and you should be careful of anyone selling that phrase. What a website can do is show your inspection outcome accurately. Since November 2025 inspections produce a colour-coded report card across evaluation areas instead of one overall word, so we build the section to display the areas and link to your published report.
How do you advertise your nursery?
Most enquiries start with a parent searching for childcare near a place they already know: a station, a school, a high street. In practical order that means a page for each district you draw from, a Google Business Profile kept current, real reviews from current parents, a fees page a parent can read at 10pm without ringing you, and listings on the directories parents actually use. Paid ads work but are rented: "nursery chelmsford" costs £4.43 a click.
Do we own the website at the end?
Yes. On completion and full payment the files are yours, as plain HTML with no proprietary platform to be locked into. Domains we register go in your name where the registrar allows it, and transfer to you free of charge whenever you ask, including if you stop the care plan.
